- Our journey begins early in the morning in Aktau, where at 8:00 AM, we set off into the stunning landscapes of Mangystau. The first stop is the majestic Torysh Valley of Balls, where we encounter ancient ammonites, some over 3 meters in diameter, remnants of the prehistoric Tethys Ocean. We will spend an hour here capturing photos and immersing ourselves in the mystical atmosphere of this unique geological wonder.
Kyzylkup Canyon with lunch in Zhanaozen
- We then continue to Kyzylkup Canyon, a stunning natural wonder resembling Tiramisu layers with its red and brown hues. This mesmerizing landscape creates an atmosphere of solitude and beauty, making it a photographer’s paradise. On the way, we will stop for lunch at the cozy "Adal" Café in Zhanaozen City, providing a refreshing break before the next adventure.
Bokty Mountain (Kazakh Pyramid Formation)
- After lunch, we head toward Bokty Mountain, a distinctive pyramid-shaped formation that has fascinated travelers for centuries. Some say it resembles an inverted ship, while others compare it to an ancient Kazakh pyramid. Here, we will soak in the stunning landscape and feel the deep history of this mysterious land.
Overnight Camping at Bokty Mountain
- As the sun sets, we set up our campsite at the foot of Bokty Mountain, under a sky full of brilliant stars. This evening will be quiet and peaceful, resembling the calm depths of the ancient ocean that once covered this land. The night will be spent in complete harmony with nature, enjoying the sounds of the wild under the celestial sky.

- Early risers will witness a breathtaking Mangystau sunrise, while others enjoy a leisurely morning before breakfast at 8:00 AM. After breakfast, we pack up the camp and set off towards one of the most remote and surreal landscapes in Kazakhstan.
- Our journey leads us into the heart of Mangystau—Bozjyra National Park, a place of breathtaking beauty and unspoiled wilderness. We will visit:
- Bozjyra Mars Panorama – resembling a Martian landscape with red sand dunes.
- Bozjyra Ridges – offering stunning panoramic views.
- Bozjyra Fangs – towering rock formations, the most iconic landmark of Mangystau.
- Bozjyra Cliffs & Canyons – where every turn reveals a new and unique viewpoint.
Lunch in Bozjyra
- After a full morning of exploration, we will stop for a quick but hearty lunch in the vast landscapes of Bozjyra.
- As the sun begins to set, we set up camp under the towering Bozjyra Fangs, one of the most magical locations in Mangystau. Tonight, our driver will prepare a hot Kazakh meal, cooked in a traditional cast iron kazan pot. This is the perfect opportunity to taste the rich flavors of Kazakh cuisine, all while sitting around the campfire under the brilliantly clear night sky.

- The morning begins as usual—some may wake early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over Bozjyra, while others will relax and enjoy the quiet stillness of the desert. At 8:00 AM, we gather for breakfast and prepare for our next destination.
- Our first stop is the Karaman-Ata Underground Mosque, a sacred Sufi site dating back to the 11th century. This ancient subterranean structure was once a center of spiritual teaching, where Karaman-Ata taught his dervishes the philosophy of Sufism. The mystical atmosphere of this hidden temple makes it one of the most memorable cultural sites of the region.
- Our journey then takes us to Ybyk Gorge, a fascinating geological formation that holds traces of the prehistoric ocean. The unique honeycomb-like rock formations in the canyon resemble natural cathedrals carved by time, creating an almost otherworldly landscape.
- The final stop on our journey is Casian Life Beach, where travelers can enjoy a well-earned break by the Caspian Sea. This is a chance to swim, sunbathe, and relax in a beautiful, tranquil setting. Dinner (Not Included) – Available at Beach Restaurants As the day winds down, travelers will have free time to explore local beachside restaurants, offering freshly grilled Kazakh dishes, seafood, and regional specialties. At 11:00 PM, a comfortable minibus will pick up all participants for the return transfer back to Aktau. This marks the end of an incredible journey, filled with breathtaking landscapes, ancient cultural landmarks, and unforgettable moments under the open sky.
